West Suffolk Leisurewear was formed in November 1997 by me, (Nigel Thompson) after recognising the ever increasing trend of corporate imaging, which was filtering down to the small businesses after being dominated by the larger corporate conglomerates, I decided there was definitely a business opportunity to target these smaller businesses including one man bands. Originally the business was run from my house, but after a short while it was neccesary to move into industrial premises in Mildenhall which we shared with another company.

The next major step and the biggest so far in our small history was the acquisition of local Bury St Edmunds firm CatPrint in January 2000, from this purchase our capabilities expanded into the screenprinting industry, and also we took on some very usefull customers which included about 50 schools and colleges, of which the vast majority have stayed with us since then, and many more have joined us. With this buy-out, we once again had to move factories, as there wasn't room for 2 businesses in our current unit.
